benefiting from the Treasure Hut program

According to the China Migrant Population Development Report, in 2019, the children of China's migrant population totaled about 98.7 million, and 35.65% of the children in China were part of the migrant population. The healthy growth of children and their education has always been a matter of concern for the society.

Recently, 3TREES was invited to participate in the "Shanghai Night Festival", and co-hosted a public welfare campaign, "Making Children's Dream Come True - Gathering Love with Painting", with Shanghai United Foundation. During the event, the artists and the lovely children used 3TREES丨Pokemon co-branded BB paint to draw wall paintings in the two core business districts, BFC Bund Financial Center and Sinan Mansions, in order to attract the public’s attention to the charity cause with the power of nighttime economy in the Night Festival, support the "Treasure Hut in the City" charity program for the left-behind children of the Yangtze River Delta, and contribute force for good to the society.

Creating artistic works with 3TREES丨Pokemon BB paint

 At the site of the event, the artists and volunteers led the children and charity supporters to create artistic works using the FDA food contact-grade 3TREES丨Pokemon co-branded BB paint and Premium Mini paint.

Event 1: June 5-6, Fengjing Bazaar, Bund Financial Center

With a black pen and a zigzag line, the artist Yuan Wujun took us into the endless fairy world - Monster Land. Then, many bazaar visitors joined the painting with their children and put colors on the wall. After the painting is completed, each of them got a piece of the giant artwork as a souvenir. The generous charity supporters also participated in the charity sale to support the long-term operation of the "Treasure Hut in the City" project.

Event 2: June 12-14, Sinan Mansions

The two initiators of TAG Studio led the children funded by the program and the charity supporters to paint the "Hut Garden" together. Every piece of painted mosaic has the wish of a child written in its back. When all the mosaics are removed, a picture with profound meanings will appear before our eyes.

The Origin of 3TREES x Treasure Hut

The partnership between 3TREES and the “Treasure Hut” project started in August 2020. It was the first visit by 3TREES volunteers to the Shanghai Sunflower Community Children's Service Center, the home base of the "Treasure Hut" project. They played interactive games with the 20 plus children in the service center and showed their care for the children's growth.

In doing public welfare, 3TREES has been trying innovative, fun and healthy means to encourage more people to join the cause of charity, and protect the left-behind children on their life journey. At the same time, we also welcome charity supporters from all walks of life to join us and guard the children's treasure hut.

About the Treasure Hut Project

The "Treasure Hut in the City" project is a public welfare brand jointly initiated by Shanghai United Foundation and Beijing Evergreen Research Institute on Sustainable Development. It aims to improve the ability of migrant children to adapt the life in cities, discover the treasure in every child, create a friendly and organic partnership, and help children grow up healthy and happy without pre-setting the direction of their growth.  As of now, 64 huts have been set up under the program in 7 provinces and cities, benefiting more than 100,000 children.
