In March 2022, a new round of domestic outbreak of the coronavirus led to flare-ups across the country, and the pandemic situation in Shanghai was serious and complicated. Concerned about the local residents affected by the pandemic, 3TREES took up its social responsibility and actively participated in the pandemic control.

Every contribution is made because of love for the city

In the face of the raging pandemic, the CPC members of the Party branch of 3TREES Shanghai Center responded to the call of the Xinhong Street Party Working Committee of Minhang District, Shanghai, and volunteered to join the fight against the coronavirus on the front line. They worked as volunteers in the Party member pioneer posts of the local community, building an “Iron & Steel Great Wall” against the disease for the residents, and made their best efforts to protect people’s lives and health.

3TREES’s Party member volunteers, who are “ready to join the fight whenever called upon”, forged a warm and powerful shield with their perseverance, bravery and responsibility. They participated in the nucleic acid testing service in Aibo Residential Compound No.2 and Huamei Road Neighborhood, assisting nearly 6,000 people with the testing. 3TREES volunteers, wrapped in heavy protective gears, came forward in this war without smoke, and actively participated in the volunteer services on pandemic control at the Party member pioneer posts, converging “shimmering rays” into warm sunlight and giving power to the fight against the virus.

Love never stops - we race against time to bring warmth to the people in need

Following the order of the city’s leadership group on pandemic control, a new round of nucleic acid screening will be implemented in the Puxi area of Shanghai from April 1. To ensure the supply of daily essentials, especially fresh vegetables, for the residents during the lockdown is of utmost importance. After the Shanghai Xinhong Community Development Foundation launched the public welfare campaign on COVID, 3TREES immediately responded and pledged 1,000 vegetable packs and 9,600 packs of 75% alcohol wet wipes. The 1,000 vegetable packs had all been delivered by the Shanghai Xinhong Community Development Foundation on March 29-30 to the Aibo No.1 and No.4 Residential Compounds, and Community No. 7 of Hanghua Residential Compound No.1, sending much needed fresh vegetables to the residents’ households. This heart-warming delivery of essential supplies at such a challenging time is highly appreciated and commended by the locals.

On March 29, 3TREES donated 4,000 disposable masks and 960 packs of 75% alcohol wipes to the West Hongqiao Management Committee, and all the supplies have been delivered. On March 30, 3TREES Party Committee, Labor Union and Youth League Committee, together with the 3TREES Charitable Foundation, pledged to donate 1,650 packs of 75% alcohol wipes to the Xinhong Street Party Working Committee and Xinhong Street Pandemic Control Office, which will be used for pandemic control on the front line in the Xinhong Street neighborhood. Due to logistics restrictions, the donated supplies will be transferred in early April. Up to now, 3TREES has donated nearly 386,000 yuan worth of anti-epidemic supplies to support the fight against COVID-19 in Shanghai.

The pandemic is not over yet, and the work of pandemic control cannot be relaxed. In this war without smoke, 3TREES will continue to follow the progress of pandemic containment, and gather the strengths of enterprises, partners, employees and all stakeholders to contribute good ideas and suggestions for defeating the pandemic. 3TREES volunteers will continue to hold their positions, step up to the plate, fulfill their social responsibilities, and build a strong line of defense with love and actions, so as to push away the COVID “winter” and usher in the “spring” of normalcy. It is our firm belief that with perseverance, we can and will win the battle against COVID, and spring will return as beautiful as ever to Shanghai!
